Welcome to coachpatch.com
I hope this web site will encourage you to become a complete player or coach as it improves your knowledge, skills and the way you approach, analyze, evaluate and teach the game. Every page throughout this website has meaning and purpose for you to look at and learn from with the blog being a daily and active component to get you the coach, player or fan thinking. You will also find a lot of information regarding the game of basketball, the fundamentals, skills concepts, teaching and coaching as well as news and information from the Attleboro area, the 508 and 401 area codes and nationally.
Basketball has been around for over 100 years and so have many of its philosophies and strategies. I ask, why? The game has evolved a lot in just the modern era, but most coaches have not changed or developed new ideas that challenge that old school nature. If you do not look to self reflect on your abilities to become a better leader, teacher or analyze yourself how can you get better? Do you need talent to win? Is the lack of a point guard or big man your reason for losing? OR is it you?
Through my experiences I have analyzed and learned a lot from myself, players and other coaches and I continue to develop in becoming more complete as a coach EVERYDAY. So whether your a player or a coach take the time to learn, look at things that make you reflect, and analyze your thought process. Why not look at situations from different angles and perspectives and learn from it now before you suffer a tough loss. Change the game, for the betterment of your team.
We hope you join us, teach us and visit us often and share your knowledge and strive to be great and regardless of what happens "NEVER EVER GIVE UP!"
Enjoy
Coach Rick Patch

COACH
OF THE YEAR

MARC LIBERATORE
Coach of the Year in the Attleboro area is Norton mentor Marc Liberatore. Coach Lib guided the Lancers to a 15-6 record and an outright league championship in the TVL, which
has solid D2 level competition, giving the Lancers their first title in 24 years. Not sure what other publications were thinking, but we didn't overlook the accomplishments of the Lancers. Congrats Coach Liberatore!
